On Øx protocol,an Open Order Book relayer is the next generation of trading technology that aggregates trade orders and allows token transfers peer-to-peer, or in other words from one user wallet to another user wallet without a third party like an exchange taking custody of the users crypto assets. Relayers provide a user interface that allows users to post trade orders in the relayer network where other users can fill those orders. For a trade to happen users authorise special programs called 0x Smart Contracts to make an “atomic transaction” where the tokens will be exchanged simultaneously between wallets. Shark Relay facilitates posting, finding, and filling orders which automatically become settled transactions on the Ethereum blockchain. Learn more about atomic transactions and Øx trading protocol.
